Journal Policy and Ethics
Quest is committed to upholding the highest standards of scholarly publication ethics. In alignment with guidelines set by recognized academic societies, we strive to maintain international benchmarks of quality by continuously updating our publication practices. All stakeholders associated with the journal are expected to adhere to the following norms.
Responsibilities of Authors
All published materials must include appropriate attribution of authorship. The corresponding author—who initiates the online submission—must comply with the publication ethics of our journal by ensuring:
- That the submitted manuscript represents genuine research work produced by the author(s).
- That permission for publication has been obtained from all co-authors.
- That the individual contributions of each author are properly acknowledged.
- That contributions of other individuals or organizations that added value to the work are duly recognized.
- That the Conflict-of-Interest declaration is accurately completed, signed, and submitted to us on time.
Malpractice Policy
The journal strictly prohibits unethical practices in scholarly publishing. The following violations will invite corrective measures, including rejection of the manuscript, retraction of published articles, and possible notification to relevant authorities or institutions:
- Manuscripts must not be submitted to, or considered by, any other journal while under review with us.
- Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable. Authors must not copy, reproduce, or paraphrase others’ work without proper acknowledgement or legal permission. Copyrighted material may only be used with explicit permission from the rights holder. The responsibility for securing such permissions lies solely with the author(s). The journal assumes no liability for copyright violations.
- Content that is defamatory, offensive, or promotional in nature will not be accepted. Submissions must maintain academic objectivity and professionalism.
- Authors must avoid all forms of discriminatory content, including gender bias, racial prejudice, or language-based discrimination.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
Peer reviewers play a vital role in maintaining the quality and integrity of the journal. Reviewers are expected to:
- Maintain confidentiality of the manuscripts under review.
- Provide objective, unbiased, and constructive feedback to help improve the work.
- Refrain from using any information obtained during peer review for personal or professional advantage.
- Decline review assignments if there is a conflict of interest with the author(s) or the work.
- Avoid any form of personal criticism and ensure comments remain professional and scholarly.
Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring fairness, transparency, and integrity in the publication process. Editors are expected to:
- Make publication decisions solely on the basis of the manuscript’s scholarly merit, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
- Ensure a fair and impartial review process, free from discrimination based on gender, race, religion, ethnicity, or political beliefs.
- Maintain editorial independence and avoid conflicts of interest in all decisions.
- Protect the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and reviewer identities.
- Take prompt and appropriate action in cases of ethical misconduct, including plagiarism, data fabrication, or unethical research practices.
Double-Blind Peer Review Policy
Quest follows a double-blind peer review system to ensure fairness, objectivity, and academic integrity in the evaluation of all submitted manuscripts. In this process, both the authors and the reviewers remain anonymous to each other throughout the review cycle.
